ActivePDFView 1.0
Released 12/29/2003

DESCRIPTION
-----------
ActivePDFView is a lister plugin (WLX) for Total Commander V5.5 or greater.
It allows the user to preview an Adobe Acrobat PDF file in either the TC
QuickView panel or in the floating TC lister window and with much of the
utility of the standalone Acrobat viewer.

REQUIREMENTS
------------

 - Total Commander V5.5 or greater.

   Obtain Total Commander here:

       http://www.ghisler.com

 - The free Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed on your system before
attempting to use ActivePDFView to view a PDF. Earlier versions of
the Acrobat Viewer will load more quickly, but ActivePDFView appears
to work with all Reader versions >= 4.0. This version of ActivePDFView
has been tested with Acrobat Reader versions 4, 5.5, and 6.

   Obtain the Acrobat Reader here:

       http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html

INSTALLATION
------------

 - Add the ActivePDFView plugin to the TC LS-Plugins list in the usual
   manner.

 - If you have also installed an Internet Explorer lister plugin (such as
IEView), position ActivePDFView before (above) that viewer in the TC
LS-Plugins list. This will force the selected PDF into ActivePDFView
   instead of the IE plugin.

CONFIGURATION
-------------

 - The viewer itself has no configuration options.

 - All of the Acrobat Reader options are exposed by ActivePDFView.
Simply QuickView a PDF in the lister and set the Acrobat options from
the toolbar as you would in the standalone reader.

LIMITATIONS
____________

 - Currently ActivePDFView only supports one instance of the Reader. If you
attempt to open additional instances of ActivePDFView, the default TC
lister will appear instead. This limitation may be addressed in a future
   version.

NOTE
----

If you have installed an IE lister, ActivePDFView is a superfluous plugin.
The developer wrote it to learn about TC plug-ins. The only advantage to
using it might be speed. It may be a fraction faster to load the Acrobat
Reader with it than with an IE plugin. Or perhaps not.
