Shortcut is a content plug-in for the file manager Total Commander.

1. Plug-in description
Shortcut provides properties of Windows shortcuts (LNK files).
2. Field descriptions
Command Line | The complete command which will be executed. This includes the path and the parameters. |
Path | The path of the program or document to be executed. |
Path Exists | Indicates if the path exists. |
Parameters | The parameters used to control the execution of the command. |
Has Parameters | Indicates if the shortcut contains parameters. |
Working Directory | The working directory which will be set when the command is executed. |
Working Directory Exists | Indicates if the working directory exists. |
Icon Location | The icon location contains the path to the icon and the icon index. |
Has Icon Location | Indicates if the shortcut contains an icon location. If it contains no icon location the path is used as icon location. |
Icon Path | The path to the icon. |
Icon Path Exists | Indicates if the icon path exists. |
Icon Index | The icon index points to a specific icon in the file returned by icon path. This value can also a negative value to indicate a resource identifier instead of an index. |
Description | The description contains user-defined information about the program or document. |
Show Command | Controls how the program or document is executed. |
Run as | Controls if a run as dialog is presented to the user before before the command is executed. This dialog can be used to execute a program under a different user name. |
3. System requirements
Total Commander 6.50 is required for this plugin. To change shortcuts you need Total Commander 7.
4. Use
The plug-in can be used in all places where content plug-ins are supported.
An example task is to search for shortcuts pointing to an invalid path.

If you use Total Commander 7 you can also edit properties of shortcuts. This can be done in the "Change attributes" dialog. Currently the path and icon location fields provide a custom edit value dialog. Pressing the >> button beside each attribute opens a dialog which can be used to set a new value comfortably.
