please delete that line. it seems leftover fom very old plugin version. let the plugin report a new line to commander.
also DrShark, your detect-string is awfully short... did you edit it yourself and why? anyway, to get the normal detect-string, just erase the entire "##_detect=" line and view any spreadsheet file.

can you try out a test plugin i just put together... hopefuly it will help me understand what is going on over there. it functions as a (lister) viewer for *.123 files. once you have the plugin, create a new empty file (shift+f4), call it asdf.123 and save (it can be empty, doesn't matter). now hit F3 and send me the text displayed. after that, you can remove the test plugin.

now for everything else, please answer following questions when reporting bugs:
1) tc version
2) tc language
2a) does the problem keep appearing when you set commander (entire commander, not plugin) to english language and restart?
3) plugin version (if it's older then 1.20, stop typing)
3a) does the problem keep appearing when you change the plugin language to english and reload?
4) windows version and language
5) entry in wincmd.ini, for example 14=something, 14_detect=something
5a) does the problem keep appearing when you delete the detect string in wincmd.ini (entire line)?
6) does it happen for just one file or many/all? (send me the file if it is just one or few...)
7) include a screenshot it it is something i should see...

can you make it happen again? if you can, i need two things:
1) full-screen screenshot
2) hit ctrl+c when message dialog has focus; open notepad and paste; if there is anything in there, send it to me.
3) exact steps
(use pm or e-mail from about box)

Myself, because I have updated from older version, it had only "xls" in detect-string; Now I changed it to default:

ok, gentlemen, here's the new deal: i uploaded a file called ver_c.wlx to:
http://sites.google.com/site/ivansdump/excellence
it reports itself as 1.20c. please overwrite excellence.wlx with it; if you still have old detect-string in wincmd.ini, delete it (i'll need to add instruction to every download page/readme file).
please recheck previous complaints if addresed in the list below:
* options window should behave better
* empty background window should not show up in so many cases
* small bug fixed (thank you Karol)
* language is updated instantly, because alexey made such a big deal out of it.
let me know if those problems still exist.

Спасибо, эта версия работает!
С эскизами была проблема в том, что они сохранялись в базе у ТК - удалил её и всё стало нормально выглядеть.
Вопрос:
Нельзя ли сделать опцию увеличения или уменьшения масштаба эскизов - чтобы картинку эскиза можно было бы сделать покрупнее и читабельнее (не размер самого эскиза, а именно изображение внутри него)?

OK, отвечаю по-русски.
Плагин работает, но моя проблема всё ещё сохраняется.
1. Уточнение к предыдущему баг-репорту: после изменения языка или перезапуска TC в первый раз команда "Опции" работала правильно. Если закрыть диалог опций и вызвать команду снова, во второй и последующий раз на текущем файле и сразу же на любом другом файле команда не работала. До перезапуска TC.
С последней версией ошибка повторяется как с сокращённой детект-строкой (как описано выше), так и с детект-строкой от DrShark и с отсутствующей детект-строкой.
2. Дополнительно: Выгрузка плагинов (cm_UnloadPlugins), далее внутренний просмотр XLS-файла: окно Excellence открывается и отображает файл нормально, но при попытке вызова команды "Опции" это окно и сам Total Commander молча закрываются без всяких сообщений.
3. Проблема воспроизводится и на "чистом" TC 7.50a с настройками по умолчанию и без других плагинов.

У меня никак не получилось передать фокус сообщению. Также как и окну листера, и окну TC. Пришлось убить totalcmd.exe через Task manager
И ещё пожелание: при смене шрифта плагина не надо менять шрифт окна "Options", лучше оставить там системный шрифт |

Путём взаимной переписки с автором установлено, что в подготовленной после моего баг-репорта специальной тестовой версии баг с открытием (а заодно, кстати, и местоположением) диалога "Опции" больше не воспроизводится.

well that wasn't done for visual enjoyment. the idea was, if you found the grid contents unreadable (due to a wrong codepage), the options window would likely have been unreadable as well. bear in mind that this plugin is very old. today, codepage problems are becoming thing of the past and i probably should have the dialog font separate and unchangable even though i feel uneasy about it.

commander sugests the configuration file (it is usualy lsplugins.ini) and plugin obeys. while i'm free to ignore the sugested file i see no reason to. you may want to have tc portable along with plugins or just reinstall it next time. but portable plugin without commander? i see no point.

you are right, it would be nice of me to accomodate for people with poor eyesight. i'm putting it on the to-do list, but i don't think i'll allow any size... just a choice of two fixed (constant) modes: normal and large-text mode. (i'm not happy when i have to add new things to the language file)

i'd still like to know what "why" plugin (see my first post above) reports about your systems (even though version "c" and better should work on your systems). |
