Restic WFX – Browse your Restic backups in Total Commander

Restic is a fast, secure, deduplicating backup program. Restic WFX brings your snapshots into Total Commander's dual-pane interface, so you can find and
restore a single file without leaving your file manager.
Features
- Repository → snapshot → folder navigation, with snapshots named YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS_[id]
- On-demand directory loading: only the folder you are viewing is queried
- Copy files and entire folders with F5, preserving timestamps and 64-bit file sizes
- View files with F3 and Quick View (Ctrl+Q)
- Overwrite is safe: data is streamed to a temporary file and replaced only on success
- Works with local disks, SMB/UNC shares, REST Server, SFTP, S3/MinIO/Wasabi/B2 and Rclone
- Several repositories at once, one password prompt per repository, 3 attempts
- Read-only by design: no upload, delete or move functions are exported
- Passwords are never written to disk
- ESC cancels long operations
Installation:
- double-click the ZIP in Total Commander
- then edit restic_plugin.ini (a commented sample is included)
- add your repositories in the [Repositories] section.
Requirements:
Total Commander 64-bit, Windows 10/11 x64, and restic.exe (https://restic.net).
